Q: What is your shooting style?

Couples have described Diane & Amber’s wedding imagery as timeless and elegant. They take a combination of candid/fly on the wall documentary photos together with freely posed portraits. As passionate lovers of the light at dusk, Diane & Amber use the natural light from the sun to create magical moments from your portrait session.

Q: How long have you been working as professional photographers?

Diane & Amber have been in business together as DeRay & Simcoe since 2005.

Q: Do you offer digital files?

Yes. All of our portrait packages include a full set of high resolution digital files. Including all of the images in your package allows you the freedom to print as many different sizes and copies of your photos as you desire.

Q: Where should we have our photo shoot?

This depends on your style. Diane & Amber match your personality with your photo shoot location, with the flexibility to meet you at your home, or an off-site location.

Diane & Amber have access to a gorgeous outdoor location, which is a short walk from the DeRay & Simcoe office. Here they will capture your family laughing and playing together in a natural setting, with stunning scenic waters and arching trees.

DeRay & Simcoe also offer an intimate lifestyle portrait, taken in your home, capturing your family in an "everyday" kind of way.  Just you and your loved ones in your own environment, relaxed and happy.

Q: What is the best age to have baby photos?

Within the first 10 days is the best time. At this stage your baby is still sleepy and will happily nap while we take all those photos you love. If your boy or girl is older than 10 days, Diane & Amber would suggest the 4-5 month age, when your bub can hold their head up independently. You can see more info about our baby photography here.

Q: How long will my session last?

Around 45-60 minutes for a park shoot, more for a lifestyle shoot at home. Newborns generally take longer to allow plenty of time for feeds and cuddles.

Q: My partner and I hate having our photo taken, should we just book a session for the kids?

Diane & Amber feel very passionately about capturing families all together. Their natural, relaxed style will ensure you feel comfortable in front of the camera. Diane & Amber understand the importance of capturing those special moments that you share with your kids. Having these photos of you as a family will be something you can enjoy for years to come, and something your children will cherish as they grow up.

Q: How much should we plan to invest in our portrait photography?

Send us an email and we will send you a link to our full pricing information.
